Austria's Elevate Festival turns 20 in 2024 with Hyperdub, Helena Hauff

- The likes of aya, CCL and Kode9 will head to Graz in February.
- Austrian festival Elevate has revealed the first names for its 20th edition. Taking place at Dom im Berg in Graz from February 28th through March 3rd, the multidisciplinary event has confirmed the likes of CCL, Colleen, Hassan Abou Alam, Helena Hauff, Iglooghost, Kenji Araki, mad miran, Ryoji Ikeda, Simo Cell and previous Breaking Through subjects Animistic Beliefs. UK label Hyperdub will also host a showcase, with performances from Loraine James, aya, DJ Krush, Hudson Mohawke, Proc Fiskal, Ikonika and founder Kode9. In addition to the music, Elevate has confirmed the first names for its programme of panel discussions. Organised around the theme of "Western Promises," this year will see talks from British author Geoff Mulgan, Swiss theatre maker Milo Rau, performance artist Cesy Leonhard and refugee migration expert Judith Kohlenberger.
