- Alva Noto & Ryuichi Sakamoto, Despacio and Miss Kittin & Kim Ann Foxman are among the names playing the Barcelona festival's 25th edition.

Sónar has announced the final portion of the lineup for its flagship Barcelona festival, running from June 14th through the 16th.
Today 50 more artists were added to the festival, which turns 25 this year. Alva Noto and Ryuichi Sakamoto (pictured) will close out the event on Sunday with a new audiovisual show called Two—one of only three times they'll perform live together in 2018. James Murphy and 2ManyDJs will hold court with their massive Despacio soundsystem, playing a six-hour vinyl-only set each day. (Alva Noto and 2manyDJs are booked on their own as well, and Murphy also appears as part of LCD Soundsystem.) Objekt, Miss Kittin & Kim Ann Foxman, Call Super, Young Marco, Demdike Stare, TOKiMONSTA, Alizzz, Yaeji and Alicia Carrera will also join the festivities.
Red Bull Music Academy's SonarDôme programme, meanwhile, has posted additions including SOPHIE, DJ Stingray & Mumdance, and Suzanne Kraft & Jonny Nash. The SonarDôme will also host a show by Dominick Fernow, Silent Servant and Philippe Hallais (Low Jack) performing as Rainforest Spiritual Enslavement.
Resident Advisor previously announced plans to host a SonarLab stage featuring Ben Klock & DJ Nobu, Errorsmith, Fatima Al Qadiri and JASSS, among others.
Sónar's 25-year anniversary activities in Barcelona also include sending music broadcasts into outer space. That endeavor, Sónar Calling GJ273b, is open to public submissions, with three tracks joining pieces of music by the likes of Autechre, Carsten Nicolai, Nina Kraviz to "travel through space to an unknown audience." International Sónar events are set to take place in Reykjavik, Hong Kong and Istanbul in the coming months.
