  • The Caretaker is uploading all of his music to streaming services. The iconoclastic UK artist broke the news on Facebook on Monday, December 14th, citing the need to claim intellectual property of his work as the main reason behind the decision. Until now, none of his work has been available to stream. "I don't want it there but it is what it is," the post read. "Endless bad actors and snide uploaders monetised it [my work] constantly for greed and made what they made. Time to draw a line under this chapter now and look forward to days where I no longer have to issue endless takedown requests, speaking only to bots, fighting my corner completely alone." The Caretaker has released a steady stream of acclaimed albums over the last two decades, most of them on his own label, History Always Favours The Winners. He's also put out music as V/Vm, The Stranger and under his real name, Leyland Kirby. Read the post in full, and revisit The Caretaker's seminal debut album, Selected Memories from the Haunted Ballroom.
