- We've selected highlights from this weekend's online events.
This week in Streamland there are some juicy multi-day events that are well worth sinking your teeth into.
The biggest of the bunch is happening in the Motor City as the Charivari Detroit Music Festival and its Detroit Electronic Music Conference counterpart present a programme of music, workshops, panels and more all week long. Get tips on DJing from Recloose, hear a talk about women in production from Godmother of House Stacey Hotwaxx Hale, join Andrés for an MPC masterclass, or take a virtual tour of Detroit's Techno Museum curated by Underground Resistance legend John "Jammin'" Collins. Then check out sets from Rick Wilhite, Ash Lauryn, DJ Deep, Juan Atkins and loads more until Sunday, August 2nd.
Hopping across Lake Michigan, Chicago's annual House Of Sol festival will be making the switch to the online realm to serve up some of the city's finest. From Thursday through to Sunday, catch sets from Traxman, Gene Farris, DJ Slugo and Garrett David. Over in New York, Good Room will also be presenting a full weekend of music in collaboration with the resident FIXED crew. Kim Ann Foxman, Juan Maclean, Musclecars and Timo Lee are just some of the acts billed for the four-day fiesta.
For something slightly more bite-sized, tune in to Intravision on Thursday to catch Donato Dozzy collaborator Adiel spinning some hypnotic techno from the grounds of La Triennale Di Milano, a stunning art museum in Italy's north, with Paula Tape and Capofortuna on support.
On Saturday, Ariel Zetina has booked her dream lineup at smartbar, with DJ Stingray, Kush Jones and Akua featuring throughout the 12-hour broadcast. That same day, The Bunker Stream returns and opens up the floor for NYC veteran Sybil Jason, who'll be dishing out everything from house, techno and acid to hip hop, breakbeats and sounds from her other home, Haiti, over the course of six hours.
