  • A new venue is coming to North London this June. The Drumsheds will open in Meridian Water on Friday, June 7th, for Field Day, which announced its 2019 edition was moving north late last year. The 10,000-capacity space is made up of four linked warehouses, plus more than ten acres of outdoor grounds. Because of its distance from residential areas, the warehouses can stay open later than most similar sites in London. The Drumsheds is run by Broadwick Venues, which also manages Printworks and the new 3000-capacity venue Exhibition London, expected to open at the end of 2019 in Westfield. A new Network Rail Overground station called Meridian Water will open in May to accommodate visitors to The Drumsheds. This year's Field Day lineup features Skepta, The Black Madonna, Todd Terje, Diplo, Modeselektor, Pusha T and Julia Holter, among others. The Drumsheds will host most of the DJs and live electronic acts, such as Marie Davidson, Mall Grab, Courtesy, Actress, HAAi and Seth Troxler. See the lineup on the RA event listing. Have a look at the new space.
