- Organisers have revealed some names to give a taste of this year's "surprise" theme in Kraków.
Unsound has announced the bulk of the lineup for this year's festival in Kraków, Poland.
After teasing attendees with some details of this year's "surprise" theme, organisers have now revealed many acts playing in 2015, including Charles Cohen, Rabih Beaini, Galcher Lustwerk, Aaron FIT Siegel, DJ Bone, Amnesia Scanner, Holly Herndon, The Black Madonna, DJ Nobu, Shackleton (performing with recent feature subjects NISENNENMONDAI), Levon Vincent, Zenker Brothers, Helena Hauff, Nozinja, Nidia Minaj, RP Boo, UNiiQU3, Low Jack, Alessandro Cortini, Untold, Andy Stott and Optimo.
Other highlights include some yoga and meditation sessions with new age legend Laraaji and a live slot from Surgeon and Lady Starlight. A solid portion of slots remain reserved for surprise appearances.
Organisers say: "One of the main ideas behind the surprise theme is to establish tension between the known and the unknown, and to play with the preconceptions we bring to the act of listening. Hiding elements of the lineup is not the only way the surprise theme manifests itself. There will also be new venues, some truly unique. Also, artists from radically different contexts often follow or accompany each other."
A few more artists will be added to the lineup in the lead-up to the festival. Details will also be announced for Unsound's daytime programme, which will further explore the 2015 theme. The festival will run from October 11th through 18th.
