  • Berghain will celebrate ten years of operation with a mammoth anniversary party in December. Since being founded in 2004, Berghain has become one of the world's best-loved clubs. Its list of residents includes numerous top-tier techno and house artists, with high-profile names like Marcel Dettmann, Ben Klock and Steffi among the jocks with monthly slots. A notoriously strict door policy has furthered the venue's reputation, as have its extremely long opening times and regular male-only fetish parties. The club's annual birthday session is usually one of Berlin's biggest parties each year. The upcoming celebrations pack even more punch than usual. Though there's no official word on who's playing in the club's techno-focussed main room, or the house-heavy upstairs Panorama Bar, the lineup next month is shaping up like this: UK acts AnD and Blawan, Shed and residents Marcel Dettmann, DVS1 and Marcel Fengler will likely be among those dropping techno down below; Chicago's DJ Skull, Joy Orbison, Ben UFO and regulars Gerd Janson, Steffi and nd_baumecker can be expected to soundtrack things up top. The party is scheduled to get underway at midnight on Saturday, December 13th, and wrap-up around lunchtime on the following Monday.
