  • A new experimental electronic festival called CURRENTS will take place just south of Berlin on Saturday, October 8th. Curated by Romanian production and DJ duo Khidja, CURRENTS will champion both emerging and established artists. The lineup includes Suzanne Ciani, Dopplereffekt, Lena Willikens (who will perform with Marylou) and Alicia Carrera. Running from 3 PM through 1 AM, the debut edition will take place at E-WERK Luckenwalde, an old power plant that ceased operations in 1989. CURRENTS, which claims to be one of the first 100-percent carbon negative electronic music and performance festivals, will be powered by burning locally sourced waste wood chips to generate electricity. Find out more about CURRENTS via its website or in the event listing below. Here's the lineup.
