  • Swedish techno label Drumcode is collaborating with Kevin Saunderson on a remix project. Drumcode founder Adam Beyer and the Detroit techno legend have invited various artists to reinterpret Saunderson's 1998 album Heavenly, made under his E-Dancer alias. These remixes will be presented in an album called Re:Generate on October 1st. Contributors include Amelie Lens
, Bart Skils
, DJ Bone,
 DJ Minx
, Layton Giordani, Len Faki
, Robert Hood, rRoxymore, Special Request, TYGAPAW, Wehbba and Beyer himself. To celebrate the release, which marks Drumcode's 250th, an in-person show is slated for October 2nd at Printworks. "The reason I felt the need to do an album like this is because of the strong presence and influence these tracks from the '90s have had on so many different producers, DJs, artists and genres of music," Saunderson explained in a press statement. "It's the purest thing from me and a record that will always have a long-lasting place in my heart." Saunderson noted that Re:Generate will mark the closing chapter of Heavenly. "You won’t see any other remixes after this record," he said. In 2018, Saunderson revived his E-Dancer alias with the album Infused. His most recent release—a collaborative full-length called We All Move Together under his Inner City project—arrived last year.
