- Lucy will join the DJ, producer and radio presenter for the platform's second showcase at Dalston space EartH on September 22nd.
B.Traits has released a guided meditation, titled Rest, on her new label, Paciphonic.
The DJ, producer and radio presenter, real name Brianna Price, launched the event series in London at the end of 2018. Paciphonic, which is now also an imprint, aims to "fuse the healing aspects of music with meditation by combining ambient and minimalist recordings, sound and frequency activations and the clarity experienced by changing your state of consciousness through meditation" and will release "music, guided meditations and other little nuggets of calm."
Rest was written, produced and narrated by Price, who guides the listener through "gentle and awakening" music, sound and frequency for 20 minutes. "Meditation has had a profound impact on my life," Price, a certified meditation and yoga teacher and Quantum Sound Medicine practitioner, told Resident Advisor ahead of Paciphonic's premiere. "It's not only helped me manage anxiety and depression, but has also expanded my creative horizons and defined an accessible calm in my daily life. Paciphonic aims to build an inclusive community, to collectively enhance and improve our well-being."
On September 22nd, Paciphonic returns to Dalston space EartH for the second instalment of the "multi-sensory showcase that explores a higher state of consciousness through a combination music, sound and frequency activations and group meditation." Resident "frequency healers" Tim Wheater and Cherub will join B.Traits in addition to the special guest, Lucy, who will present a one-off drone-ambient version of his live performance.
