The Queens venue will host Rebekah, DVS1, Vatican Shadow and Luke Slater in its first two weeks.
New York's newest techno club, BASEMENT, will open the weekend of May 10th.
The new venue sits beneath the main hall of Knockdown Center in Queens. Accessible via a separate entrance, it's situated in a network of brick tunnels that were originally used to heat the full building, which was built as a glass factory in 1903. BASEMENT's owners describe the setup as an "industrial catacomb... making it ideal for techno."
BASEMENT will open on Friday, May 10th, with sets from Rebekah, Heidi Sabertooth and Ne/Re/A. The rest of the month sees DVS1 and The Bunker New York's Bryan Kasenic play the following night, before Vatican Shadow celebrates the release of his Berghain 09 mix with Volvox, Becka Diamond and a live set from Headless Horseman on the 17th. Well-loved New York gay party Wrecked makes its BASEMENT debut on the 18th.
Other highlights include Berlin-based party STAUB on the 24th with Luke Slater and Tommy Four Seven, 999999999's NYC debut on the 25th, and Silent Servant and Katie Rex rounding out the month on the 31st.
The likes of Aurora Halal, Etapp Kyle, Fiedel, FJAAK, Function, Shlomo, Shdw & Obscure Shape and Tin Man will play at the club soon, though dates are still TBA.
Tickets to BASEMENT are available here on RA.
