Floating Points has announced 11 dates in the US this summer, starting on August 28th.
Sam Shepherd already undertook one extensive tour of the US with his band this year. His new EP, Kuiper, is set to come out in July, and he'll follow that up with another string of stateside live dates—this time focusing on the southern half of the country. He'll be playing as part of a five-piece band, with opening sets from Brooklyn-based composer, producer and singer Olga Bell.
First up is FYF Fest in Los Angeles, where he's booked for a DJ set on August 27th and a live set on the 28th, playing alongside artists like Air, Oneohtrix Point Never, The Black Madonna and Kelela. Then it's another gig just north of San Diego followed by stops in Phoenix, San Antonio, Austin, Dallas and Houston. He'll wrap up the tour with stops in New Orleans, Atlanta and Miami, where he'll play at the North Beach Bandshell.
