MUTEK will also return to the outdoor event series this year.
Piknic Électronik has announced the lineup for its summer season, starting on May 22nd.
The weekly party has become a staple of Montreal's art and music scene, and has since spread to elsewhere in Canada, Australia and Spain. It takes place every Sunday at the Parc Jean-Drapeau just off the coast of the main island of Montreal, from 2 PM through 9:30 PM. The season will launch on May 22nd with a live set from KiNK, along with a back-to-back DJ set from Montreal locals Project Pablo and Francis Oak. Other highlights include Ben UFO & Four Tet, Len Faki, Louisahhh, tINI, DJ Three, Deetron, George FitzGerald, DJ Harvey, Young Marco and Lovefingers.
After skipping Piknic last year, experimental electronic festival will return this year on June 5th, and they're bringing Josh Wink, the MUTEK All Stars (set to feature artists from Spain, Japan and Mexico) and a special guest. Crew Love will take over Piknic on June 26th, while August 21st features the Dutch double header of San Proper and Rush Hour boss Antal.
