- Toronto Island's summertime event series will also host Sven Väth and Âme.
- Electric Island's fourth season will kick off on May 23rd. The long-weekend celebration has become a fixture of Toronto's summer dance music calendar, going down in May, July, August and September. This year, the format is largely the same—one day of programming from early afternoon until late evening each weekend—except for Labour Day weekend, on September 4th and 5th, when Electric Island will expand to two days for the first time. The end time for each party has also been extended by 30 minutes until 11 PM. Though promoters haven't announced the exact lineups for each show yet, they've announced the headliners for the whole season, which includes an Innervisions double-header—Dixon and Âme—as well as techno heavyweights like Marcel Dettmann (playing back-to-back with Ben Klock) and Sven Väth. Other highlights include South African superstar Black Coffee, Bicep, Apollonia, Job Jobse, Jamie Jones, Loco Dice and Justin Martin. Green Velvet and Claude VonStroke will play together as Get Real, while Paul Kalkbrenner and Fatima Yamaha are billed for live sets.
