- The new week-long festival in Anaklia will take place at the end of this month.

The first GEM Fest will happen from July 30th through August 7th in Anaklia, Georgia.
Short for Georgian Electronic Music Festival, GEM Fest is a new entrant in the summer festival market. Held in the Black Sea resort town for a whole week, GEM is intended as a "multi-platform festival to celebrate the most illustrious, the brightest, and the best in youth culture, dance music, and stagecraft today." There will be several stages and an open-air cinema, with the site open for 24 hours a day throughout the week.
The lineup features a healthy helping of international house and techno heavyweights, including Luciano, Tale Of Us, Dubfire, Radio Slave, Ellen Allien and David August. Romania is well-represented, with Rhadoo, Petre Inspirescu, Praslea and Livio & Roby all onboard. Other highlights include Booka Shade, M.A.N.D.Y, WhoMadeWho, Ian Pooley and Camea, as well as trance giant Armin van Buuren.
