Electronic music at the intersection of dance and experimental features at the ninth edition of the event in Krems, Austria this spring.
The ninth edition of Donaufestival comes to Krems, Austria in late April and early May.
The festival places a strong emphasis on visual and performing arts, with programs featuring theatrical performances, installations and more running over the course of the festival's two weekends. A look at their music programming, though, shows that this aspect of the festival is in no way playing second fiddle. The first weekend, running April 25th-27th, will feature such contemporary notables as Andy Stott, Actress, Laurel Halo and Demdike Stare, plus showcases from top experimental electronic labels PAN and Tri Angle. A number of electronic luminaries—Robert Hood, Michael Rother of Neu! and Harmonia and Geoff Barrow from Portishead—will be on hand as well. Darkstar, William Basinski, Mi Ami, Biosphere and How To Dress Well are heading up the second weekend of the festival, May 2nd-5th.
You can find out more about Donaufestival through their official website, including the full lineup and ticket information.
