- Paurro had a big 2022, which culminated in the release of her incredible Galavisión EP, and she rounded off the year with a remix of storied Argentinian duo DJs Pareja and vocalist Lupe. The title track from their 2021 EP was a piece of hooky, floaty electro-pop, but in Paurro's hands it becomes a mechanical house stomper, built around a sweaty kick drum and the occasional breakbeat flourish. Lupe's phrases are kept clipped and short, holding the hook tantalizingly at bay—the kind of expert pacing and tension-building that defines Paurro's best work so far.
