- Imagining it from the outside, the Pleasure Club studio must have been deep into a hotbox session lately. The label has shifted gears from haunted electro-infused techno into lean club tracks made with all the reverb and negative space of dub. Label head Bobby.'s latest EP continues this pivot, but reaches for brighter colors than previous releases by Johnny Hunter and Francesca. Starting out with the rumbling textures of dub, "Dreamscape Audio" makes a left turn with a neon arpeggio that could have been lifted from an early Deconstruction 12-inch. Just when it seems like the track is lost in the stratosphere, Bobby returns to the dub palette as the track fades out with some lovely bass wobbles.
