  • Taiga just got a little fiercer. Originally released in 2023 as a desktop module, the wave-folding synthesizer now comes with a three-octave keyboard and mod wheels. The interface on the Taiga Keyboard has also been enlarged and its patch points have been relocated to the top edge and given more space. The new version also comes with an additional LFO and a space to mount external Eurorack modules in its faceplate to expand the synth's features. The keyboard is velocity- and aftertouch-sensitive with a pitch and modulation wheel. Four new points have been added to the patch bay to allow the wheels and velocity to be routed as modulation sources. Taiga is an analogue mono-synth that combines three oscillators with a unique dynamics control and Pittsburgh Modular's unusual multi-mode filter. It attracted positive attention on release due to its wave-folding capacity, which crushes waveforms, producing rich harmonics. One of the few grumbles many had with the original Taiga was its cramped interface, which has been addressed with this update. Watch the new synth in action.
Taiga Keyboard is available now for €1,340.
