  • London club E1 has released a new statement in the aftermath of the controversy surrounding cofounder Yuval Hen, who has since resigned. Posted on Instagram yesterday, February 28th, the statement reiterated E1's opposition to "any ongoing suffering of innocent people in Gaza" and pledged to donate money to Doctors Without Borders to "support affected communities." The club also announced operational changes, including the appointment of Gianpaolo Fiore as CEO. Hen resigned as director on February 16th following allegations that he recently served with the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) in Gaza. In response, promoters Key Vinyl—which cancelled a party on March 24th—and techno powerhouse Teletech joined kink party Klub Verboten in cutting ties with the Wapping venue. Teletech alone had ten-plus shows in the diary. "We're aware of the situation surrounding E1," Teletech wrote via Instagram Stories. "This Friday's show and all future shows are in the process of being rehoused / cancelled until we can find a viable option to accommodate them." According to Companies House, Hen's business partner, Oren Arush, remains in charge across all three companies affiliated with E1: E1 Records Limited, Studio Spaces Limited and UP Space Limited Read E1's latest statement in full.
