  • Los Angeles radio station dublab is partnering with Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). Yesterday, January 10th, the online hub announced that it had signed a contract to curate arts and music at several terminals via a now-deleted Instagram post. The programme will feature original compositions by more than 30 artists who are "friends" of the station in a sound art installation by Eli Welbourne. It's now available for viewing with accompanying performances slated to begin later this month. Last May, dublab opened a new studio and community space. In addition to live broadcasts, the new headquarters is used for roundtable discussions, public workshops, classes and other educational events. Update January 12th, 2024: An earlier version of this article said that dublab is only curating the programme at Tom Bradley International Terminal. In fact, the radio station confirmed it will be active in several terminals. The timeline of the contract has also been omitted due to pending contractual changes.
