Rawax has launched a new series of vinyl releases dedicated to the music of Ricardo Villalobos.
Rawax Ricardo Villalobos Edition will "present his past and present releases," the label's Robert Drewek told Resident Advisor. The series begins with a 25th anniversary reissue of legendary 1999 single 808 The Bassqueen, out in May.
It's not the first time Rawax has released Villalobos's music. In 2015, he put out Rawax Aira Series Vol 1, a split single with Oskar Szafraniec, and followed this up with 2020 EPs AsloHop and Neunachi.
The new series follows the reissue of Villalobos's coveted debut album, Alcachofa, on Perlon last October. Before that, he released a 40-minute remix of a track from Ela Minus and DJ Python.
