Ricardo Villalobos's critically acclaimed debut album, Alcachofa, is being reissued by Perlon.
Out on October 27th, the reissue spans four vinyl instead of the usual three. The additional record, dubbed the Alcachofa Tools, features three tracks that didn't feature on the original vinyl: "Bach To Back," "Y.G.H." and "Waiworinao." (That said, "Y.G.H." and "Waiworinao" were on the CD version.)
First released on Playhouse in 2003, Alcachofa features classic Villalobos tracks such as "Dexter," "Easy Lee" and "Bahaha Hahi." Playhouse reissued the album in 2011, while Villalobos reissued "Easy Lee" and "Dexter" as a 12-inch on his Sei Es Drum label in 2015. The LP topped RA's list of the best albums of the 2000s.
