Mark Ernestus, Josey Rebelle, Mala, Calibre and more will play the opening weekend on December 8th and 9th.
A new club is opening in the North Rhine-Westphalia region of Germany.
Located in Wuppertal, Open Ground occupies a converted bunker six metres underground, close to the city's main train station. It's been opened by a team centring around former Hard Wax staff member Markus Riedel. Hard Wax founder Mark Ernestus has also provided consulting.
The 1200-capacity, two-room space will focus on sound system music. Ernestus will play the opening next Friday, December 8th, joined by Josey Rebelle and Mala. The following night, Calibre, Tasha, Stenny and more will perform.
Open Ground boasts a 32-inch-bass Funktion One sound system, and both rooms have been acoustically designed for free field simulation.
