  • A new cultural venue is opening in the now-shuttered Tegel Airport in Berlin. Launching this Saturday, September 30th, Turbulence TXL will take over what was once the canteen area of the airport. As well as DJ sets, the space will host live music, workshops and art installations, among other things. While Saturday's launch party is free to attend, capacity will be capped at 700. Mareena, Philipp Johann Thimm, Lisbird and Saraab are among the performers. Zebra Katz and S Ruston will also go back-to-back. Find out more via the event listing below. Tegel Airport closed in November 2020. The following year, the space hosted sound art festival Sonambiente Berlin TXL. Here are some photos of the space.
