Here's the full schedule, which includes talks at Nowadays and a party at Bogart House.
Resident Advisor is heading to New York this Saturday, November 19th, for the second part of its 21st birthday celebrations.
After two days in Manchester, we're heading Stateside for a day of editorially led talks at Nowadays followed by a party at Bogart House, which will run until 5 AM.
The daytime programme kicks off at 2 PM with a listening session and interview with Justin Strauss hosted by Vivian Host. Senior staff writer Nyshka Chandran will then oversee a panel on New York's DIY culture with Dub-Stuy, Mizz Softee and Soul Summit.
At 4:30 PM, another staff writer, Kiana Mickles, will sit down with legendary ballroom DJ Byrell The Great for a live Exchange. The day will culminate with a live edition of our Art Of DJing series, with Chandran going granular on mixing and programming with Aurora Halal. After the interview, the Sustain-Release cofounder will demo some tips and tricks.
Several hours later, the action will move to Bogart House for a night of back-to-backs. First up at 10 PM are Mapamota and DJ Noir, followed by Titonton Duvanté and DJ Wawa, and Ciel and DJ Voices. Final entry is 4 AM.
Separate to the day-and-night programme, RA's editor-in-chief Whitney Wei will host a music journalism workshop at Nowadays from 11 AM through 1 PM. You must RSVP if you want to attend.
Here's the rest of the programme in full.
