  • London's Junction 2 Festival has cancelled its upcoming edition. The event, originally scheduled for June 18th and 19th, has now been pushed to next year as 4,000 members of England's National Union of Rail, Maritime and Transport Workers plan to strike for multiple days this month in a dispute over jobs and pensions. Announcing the news today, June 10th, via Twitter, Junction 2 said they were "committed to resolving the transport challenges." "After a three year wait, a weekend expected to run at full capacity and the site build about to commence, we are in disbelief at this decision," the statement continued. "We know this news will be as heartbreaking to you as it has been to us, especially after waiting so long to get together." The likes of Four Tet, Robert Hood, Adam Beyer and Avalon Emerson were due to play the festival. All tickets will now be automatically refunded at face value. Read Junction 2's full statement.
