Orbital celebrate 30 years with LP of reworks, remixes and new tracks

- Spanning two CDs and four vinyl, 30 Something is out in July.
- Orbital are celebrating their 30th anniversary with a retrospective LP called 30 Something. Out July 15th via Orbital Recordings Ltd., the double-CD, quadruple-vinyl release includes three new tracks plus fresh remixes and reworks of Orbital classics, such as "Chime," "Belfast" and "Halcyon & On." The reworks are by Orbital, with the likes of Shanti Celeste, Jon Hopkins, John Tejada, Dusky and Octave One on remix duty. "What's been amazing for me is looking at our past and thinking of all the people who've come to see us, they are absolutely brilliant, warm and create such an amazing vibe," said Orbital's Phil Hartnoll. "They are now bringing their kids to our gigs, they love it." Paul Hartnoll added: "Now we're diving into our past and reminding ourselves, blimey, we really did that. And it's still got something to say." One of the new tracks on 30 Something is a fresh mix of "Where Is It Going?," Orbital's collaboration with the late scientist Stephen Hawking for the opening ceremony of the London 2012 Paralympic Games.
