  • Stamp The Wax is taking its Monday Morning Mixtapes physical for the first time. The UK-based website is celebrating its tenth anniversary with a five-volume cassette series. Each cassette includes two 90-minute mixes, with a STW resident paired with a guest. Contributors include George The Poet, Aaron L, Bradley Zero, Zipporah, CC:DISCO, Harri Pepper, Pender Street Steppers, Rosie Ama, Jenifa Mayanja and Mr Holiday. "Whether it's through what we've made together, conversations shared offline or their own creative output, all five guests have played a pivotal role in moulding, inspiring and growing STW over the last decade," says STW cofounder Aaron Levitt. "For them all to take part in this milestone project is a huge, huge honour." The proceeds from the cassettes will go to different charities picked by the guest DJs. Recipients include Youth Music, SE15 Community Fund, Casa T, the African Caribbean Leukaemia Trust, MusiCares and the Indian Residential School Survivors Society. To reduce waste and maximise fundraising, the series is only available for a one-month period before going to production. STW has also decided to omit tracklists and audio previews. "You'll have to trust us on this one," the team said in a statement. "If you've listed to the first 300+ [Monday Morning Mixtapes] you'll know these hit right." Head to STW's Bandcamp page for more details.
