  • London collective Technomate has launched a new educational series called .EDU. The series aims to offer guidance and support to DJs and promoters from marginalised communities who are just starting out in electronic music. Panelists will discuss the challenges they faced at the beginning of their careers, and share advice about navigating your first steps as a DJ and promoter—all with a focus on how to find your niche. The first edition is taking place at Resident Advisor's Haggerston office on October 28th. Starting at 7:30 PM, it'll feature a panel with Lewis G. Burton, Tasha and Proteus. Technomate is a queer collective that spans a party, podcast series and educational platform for FLINTA (female, lesbian, intersex, non-binary, trans and asexual) artists. To sign up for .EDU on October 28th, visit the Eventbrite page here.
