- Listening Places will be held at a villa on the shores of Wannsee, a parking garage in Wedding and a mosque in Moabit, among others.
Groove Magazine is hosting six sit-down events over September.
The long-running, Berlin-based music magazine has invited six local DJs to play unmixed 90-minute sets to a seated audience, inspired by the approach of listening bars in Japan.
Kicking off the events series on September 1st, Cinthie plays at a parking garage on Müllerstraße. Berghain resident Marcel Dettmann will play at Liebermann-Haus, a villa on the shores of Wannsee, and Efdemin at an intercultural mosque in Moabit. A karaoke bar on the busy Warschuaer Straße hosts DJ Gigola. The iconic ex-airfield, Tempelhofer Feld, is the outdoor venue for Lakuti's session, and finally, on October 6th, Radio Slave plays in the Groove office. Listening Places is funded by Berlin's Capital Culture Fund.
There will be 40 tickets available for each event, available direct from Groove. Guests will need proof of recovery, a completed vaccination, or negative test.
