  • ageHa, which claims to be Japan's biggest nightclub, will shut its doors on January 30th, 2022. The 2,400-capacity venue is part of a broader event space called Usen Studio Coast on the outskirts of Tokyo. In a recent statement, Usen Studio Coast said its entire complex will be closing due to the expiry of its fixed-term lease. It's unclear whether ageHa has plans to find a different location. Since opening in 2002, the club has become a standard weekend destination for Tokyo residents with its four dance floors, three bars, outdoor pool, park and food court. Several local and international headliners have played there over the years, including Marcel Dettmann, DJ Sodeyama, Ken Ishii, DJ Nobu and Dave Clarke, among many others. In 2014, ageHa also hosted a Resident Advisor party featuring Levon Vincent, Gerd Janson, Kaoru Inoue, DJ Harvey and DJ Sprinkles.
