Novation has released details of the Circuit Rhythm groovebox.
Following in the wake of Circuit Tracks, Circuit Rhythm brings sampling to the forefront of Novation's series of portable grooveboxes for the first time. Samples can be recorded directly into the device or loaded via micro SD then sliced, repitched and sequenced into beats and melodies.
It's equipped with eight sampler tracks that can be sequenced into 32 patterns, which can then be chained for a total of 256 steps per track. Rhythmic variation comes in the form of a probability control and micro-timing, while the on-board Grid FX bring a performance focussed approach to adding audio effects to your sequenced samples.
With MIDI in, out and thru, plus analogue sync out, Circuit Rhythm can send and receive information from a variety of hard- and software sources. Its small size, rechargeable battery and micro SD storage make it ideal for portable setups.
You can pre-order Circuit Rhythm now for $399. It's expected to ship in July, 2021.
