Novation has announced two new products in its Circuit line of grooveboxes.
Circuit Tracks is based on two polyphonic synth tracks, two MIDI tracks for sequencing other instruments, and four drum tracks for playing back samples.
Using 32 velocity sensitive pads, these tracks can be sequenced into 32-step patterns, shaped by probability and micro-timing, and chained to a total of 256 steps. Compared to the previous Circuit, the new model contains analog clock out, MIDI In, Out & Thru and two mono inputs for processing external audio. It's available now for $399.99. Novation also announced Circuit Rhythm, which is due out summer, 2021. While specific specs are yet to be revealed, it appears to focus on beat making, trading Circuit Tracks' synth and MIDI tracks for eight sampler tracks and sample editing tools.
