  • Slam's educational program, Soma Skool, is moving online for the first time. Taking place on Saturday, February 27th and Sunday, February 28th, the Glasgow duo's Soma Records label will host masterclasses and panels with international producers, DJs and industry professionals. Those booked for the event include Rebekah, Manni Dee, Cera Khin, mental health collective misery, fabric promotions manager Judy Griffith and more. Topics include Covid & The Future Of The Electronic Music Industry, ambient techno production and Creating Outside The Box. "We are proud to be able to continue our passion in educating the minds of tomorrow in our industry with Soma Skool 2021," Soma Skool Project Manager Rosie Shannon says. "In these current times, the industry has been stalled but this event has been curated to show it is still very much alive and full of creators and professionals ready to nurture it. We hope that this event helps revitalize future and current careers in our industry and its audiences, at a time where it's needed most." Soma Skool 2020 canceled its yearly run at Glasgow venue SWG3 last March in response to the coronavirus pandemic. Tickets and full details on Soma Skool 2021 are available here on RA.
