  • Floating Points, jazz saxophonist Pharoah Sanders and London's oldest symphony orchestra have an album on the way. There aren't many details on Promises available yet, except that it'll come out via David Byrne's Luaka Bop label on March 26th. It's also been revealed that the album will consist of nine movements. Promises is Floating Points' fourth album, following two solo LPs and one recorded in the Mojave Desert with his band. It's also the first time he's collaborated with both Sanders, a legendary spiritual jazz artist who has been active since 1965, and London Symphony Orchestra, who are directed by Sir Simon Rattle and based at the prestigious Barbican Centre.
