  • Swing Ting cofounder Balraj Samrai has collaborated with several artists on a video about the COVID-19 crisis called I Should Have Hugged You Tighter When We Last Met (Oh What A Joy). The six-minute clip, which was produced as part of Opera North's Resonance: The Lockdown Edition, "addresses the impact of COVID-19 on communities of colour worldwide," according to the press release. It features spoken word, electronic production and South Asian percussion, plus recordings of Zoom and phone calls. In addition to Samrai, who produced the video, there are appearances from Asian Dub Foundation's Pandit G, Equiknoxx's Gavsborg and Shanique Marie, Farah Ahmed Khan, Tunde Adekoya and professional tabla player Vikaash Sankadecha. The track was mastered by Nik Sinha and the visuals were by Rainbow Collective. Watch the video.
