Complications with the Victorian camping weekender's original site have forced organisers to move the party into the city.
Victoria's Babylon Festival will take a year off in 2020.
The promoter has explained that, with the upcoming summer predicted to be one of the hottest on record, a range of issues and requirements surrounding their site in Kara Kara National Park has meant they have been unable to secure a long term permit.
While the full weekend festival won't be going ahead, organisers have put together a replacement event with a number of the festival's artists to be held in Melbourne. Babylon In The Park will take over the Sidney Myer Music Bowl on February 23rd, with Carl Cox, Alan Fitzpatrick, Pan-Pot, Enzo Siragusa and Jeremy Olander among the names playing across three stages.
