Alva Noto and Ryuichi Sakamoto are releasing a new live album.
TWO captures a 2018 live performance that saw the serial collaborators bringing an improvised mesh of old and new material to the Sydney Opera House. Featuring highlights from The Revenant soundtrack and live interpretations of cuts from their earlier LPs, the new album edits down the two-hour performance to a single hour. The 15-track LP is coming out on vinyl, CD and download via NOTON on November 15th. It's the duo's first album since 2018's Glass.
Sakamoto's team recently sent out a warning regarding fake disciples "creating trouble," while his debut record Thousand Knives Of... will be getting a reissue in November. Alva Noto's last major solo release was last year's dance floor-centric Unieqav LP.
