- The East African and East Asian outlets are releasing two EPs together, also featuring Yen Tech, 33EMYBW and Osheyack.
Slikback is leading a label collaboration between Shanghai's SVBKVLT and Nyege Nyege's Hakuna Kulala.
The East Asian and East African labels first linked up at this year's CTM Festival in Berlin, after which the Chinese label invited Slikback on a tour of China. Slip A and Slip B were recorded during that three-week stretch. The former EP features three artists—Yen Tech, 33EMYBW and Osheyack—in collaboration with the Nyege Nyege affiliate, while the latter is a sole collaboration with Hyph11E. Both records are out on September 6th.
Slikback has previously released two EPs on Hakuna Kulala: Lasakaneku, which launched the label, and Tomo. The outlet's most recent release is by Kampala-based producer Rey Sapienz.
So far this year, SVBKVLT's releases include Zaliva-D's Calling EP and a compilation featuring Hyph11E, Yen Tech, 33EMYBW and Osheyack.
