- The six-track LP is out October 26th.
A collection of lost DJ Slugo tracks are being released as The Archives.
Six productions by Thomas Kendricks will be pressed on to a one-time run of 1000 records by the Brooklyn label Sermon 3 Recordings, with a release date set for October 26th. According to the label, the tracks were written before Kendricks was incarcerated for a non-violent drug offence in 2002, and never received a proper release following the dissolution of Chicago's ghetto house scene in the intervening years. The likes of DJ Deeon, DJ Thadz, Jovan, Double AC and DJ PJ feature across the tracklist.
Kendricks was a key part of the ghetto house sound and released numerous essential records for Dance Mania and Databass in the mid-'90s. He released an LP called Versatile on his own Subterranean Playhouse imprint last year.
