  • Recently unearthed live recordings from Regis (AKA Karl O'Connor) will be released on a new Cititrax 12-inch. Live In N.Y.C. was recorded on January 4th, 1997 during a Regis gig at the New York Film Academy. The tapes were discovered by Evan Kreeger, touched up by longtime Regis affiliate James Ruskin and mastered by Minimal Wave boss Veronica Vasicka. Kreeger, who put out a few records on Synewave in the '90s, wrote liner notes for new record. Gymnastics—O'Connor's first album as Regis, released just a year before the gig chronicled on this new release—was expanded and "rebuilt" earlier this year on Downwards. O'Connor and Vasicka also released a collaborative 7-inch on Oliver Ho's Death & Leisure this summer.
