The 1000-capacity Digbeth venue will open on March 17th.
New Birmingham venue Scru Club (AKA [ scru:club ]) has announced its opening season in full, with ten parties planned across March and April.
The 1000-capacity Digbeth club will host weekly Friday (bass music) and Saturday (house and techno) sessions from March 17th. The opening weekend will feature London MC CASisDEAD and Manchester collective Levelz on Friday, followed by Valentino Kanzyani, Barac and Priku on Saturday the 18th. Looking further ahead, other highlights include Mumdance, Shed, Steve Bug, Miss Honey Dijon, Magda, Jimmy Edgar, Petre Inspirescu and Mandar (AKA Lazare Hoche, Malin Genie and S.A.M.), who will play back-to-back for six hours.
The action will go down across two spaces: Ephraim Room and the smaller Phillips Room. VOID Acoustics are handling the sound, installing a Nexus system. 300 metres of LED lighting has also been installed. For the full listings so far, head to Scru Club's RA page.
