- The Oakland-based party's various artists collection is out in mid-January.
Oakland party Club Chai will release its first compilation on January 17th.
The event series was founded by Esra Canogullari, AKA 8ULENTINA, and Lara Sarkissian, or foozool, a little over over a year ago. It focuses on "diasporic narratives, women and trans artists, DJs and producers," with an emphasis on "hybridizing non-Western sounds with club music."
Club Chai Vol. 1 showcases both Bay Area producers and international friends of the crew who fit in with their vision. Among the artists featured are NON affiliate MORO, Swing Ting signee Florentino, DJ Haram, Salviatek co-founder Lechuga Zafiro, Australian producer V Kim and the two Club Chai heads themselves.
