  • San Antonio police have revoked Amnesia Ibiza's late operating licence for this weekend's season closing, after one of last weekend's parties ran over schedule by several hours. Amnesia is usually meant to close at 6 AM, but a closing party over the weekend went until 9 AM despite repeated warnings from authorities, Diario de Ibiza reports. In response, local police have revoked the club's late license for this weekend's closing party, which was planned to run until midday on Sunday. The club is known for not sticking to its required closing time. As Carlos Hawthorn reported last year, the 2015 season saw the club found in breach of its license on 15 occasions—at last year's closing party doors shut at 1 PM, seven hours later than permitted. "The town hall cannot be sure that the club will stick to the new times, just like they didn't last year," said San Antonio councillor Juanjo Ferrer. This weekend's closing, scheduled to get underway at 9 PM on Saturday, will feature sets from DJs like Ricardo Villalobos, Apollonia and Hannah Wants. Update / An earlier version of this article stated that it was Cocoon on Monday night that ran overtime. This was incorrect—it was Music On on Sunday that ran past its scheduled finish time.
