John Beltran headlines Speakerbox Astronauts in Detroit

- This weekend's party has Beltran headlining with a techno set.
- Detroit Paranormal Society and Drift222 will throw an all-night party this Saturday. The event is called Speakerbox Astronauts, and will run from 7 PM through to the early morning hours of Sunday at an industrial space called The Pfeiffer Project (it's part of a complex that once housed Pfeiffer Brewing Company, which decades ago was one of Detroit's biggest beer brewers). With admission open to those 18 and over, first it will set up on the building's rooftop, and at 1 AM the music will move inside. Headlining honors go to John Beltran, the longtime Michigan artist known for records on the likes of R&S, Peacefrog and Delsin (where he recently dropped an ambient album). Unknown Soldier and DJ Roach will represent Underground Resistance with a tag-team set, and Bogotá scene stalwart Sonico, Asher Perkins (who's about to release an EP on Minus), Dani Lehman and Altstadt Echo are also confirmed.
