- Junior Boys, SBTRKT, Laurel Halo, and more feature on the series's 30th compilation.
Friendly Fires are at the helm of the latest compilation from Late Night Tales.
The electronic-inclined indie group put together the 30th mix in the series, which for years has asked artists as diverse as Belle & Sebastian, Lindstrøm and The Flaming Lips to select their "ultimate late night collection" of favorites and influential tracks. As befits the series, Friendly Fires take an eclectic approach, drawing from recent electronic music (SBTRKT, Bibio), classic pop (Olivia Newton-John, Renee), and college rock staples (Stereolab, Slowdive) in equal measure. The mix also features the group's exclusive cover of Eberhard Schoener and Sting's 1978 collaboration "Why Don't You Answer."
