  • Ghostly International will release an expanded version of Telefon Tel Aviv's Fahrenheit Fair Enough on December 2nd. Formed in 1999 by high school friends Joshua Eustis and Charles Cooper, the duo recorded a grip of demos that eventually got them signed to Chicago-based imprint Hefty Records in January of 2000. The resulting album, influenced by Autechre and Aphex Twin as well as Detroit techno, Chicago house and New Orleans bounce rap, immediately established them within an "international conversation about what the meeting point between hip-hop, soul, and electronic music could be," according to the press release. They would put out two more albums before Eustis's counterpart, Charles Cooper, passed away unexpectedly in 2009. Earlier this year, after "years of self-doubt" and a solo record under the alias Sons Of Magdalene, Eustis decided to bring back Telefon Tel Aviv, heading out on a lengthy North American tour with Moderat and promising new material to come. The reissue of Fahrenheit Fair Enough includes eight unheard bonus tracks. Listen to the original version of the title track as well as an unheard 1999 demo.
