Daniel Bell and Kate Simko are among the new additions to the 4th edition of the Washington, DC event.
Cut Copy, Kate Simko, and Daniel Bell are among a fresh set of artists confirmed for Washington, DC's Forward Festival, which starts on Wednesday, March 30th.
For the past five years, Simko has developed a meticulous approach to deep house and techno, and became a frequent presence on Detroit's Spectral Sound imprint. Most recently, she has appeared on Hello? Repeat, with a recently-released single anticipating her first solo album, Lights Out, which will drop on the Berlin-based label in May. She'll headline a party at The Loft on Friday night in conjunction with local promoter Stranger Than Paradise.
As for Cut Copy, the Australian dance-pop group is fresh off the release of their new album Zonoscope and will help start the festivities with a Wednesday night DJ set. Bell, a Detroit techno veteran, will also join in the fun, handling the decks in a Thursday lineup of live sets already featuring Octave One.
