McMillan & Tab - Supersonic/Detroit

  • McMillan & Tab represent for 10 Kilo after releasing their stunning Lost World on TCR with Supersonic and Detroit. Both tracks are also selected and mixed for McMillan Sessions 01 on his own Inflight Entertainment label. Side A. Supersonic Driving, hyped up beats filled with stabs galore and a lovely arpeggio line layered on top. This track definitely lives up to it's name. Side B. Detroit More tech-fused breaks with a slight Detroit techno feel, hence the name and an overdose of samples proclaiming "Detroit", "Innovation" and "Land Of The Brave". Quite similar to the first side. Best part about this vinyl is it plays at 33rpm on both sides, if you play it at 45rpm and slow it down to around -4 they sound like funky drum'n'bass tracks ala Klute and Ray Keith... definitely one for the breaks and jungle heads and it gets an extra mark for that.
